At SunPeak, our mission is to make solar accessible and seamless for businesses who want to generate their own power using renewable sources. We are focused on educating and delighting our customers and helping them realize decades of cost savings and sustainability benefits.
We do this by prioritizing quality in all we do: quality components, quality relationships, and employing the highest-quality people.
The SunPeak team is highly skilled and has installed over 450 MW of solar globally, including projects as distant as Germany, Japan and Canada. Our team of engineers, energy experts, electricians, project managers and construction professionals is ready to help your company achieve its energy goals.
Alex is an important member of SunPeak’s internal engineering team. In addition to performing detailed site assessments and conducting energy demand analysis for each customer, he skillfully manages all aspects of solar PV system design and layout, including component and wiring configuration, interconnection strategy, and system documentation. Alex reviews shop drawings, calculates construction costs and manages relationships with product suppliers and external engineering consultants. He is a key technical resource for internal teams, especially our CAD drafters, project developers and construction managers.
Alex graduated with honors at the top of his class with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with an emphasis on power electronics. While in school, he was the recipient of the Grainger Power Engineering Award, the Buick Achievers National 4-Year Scholarship, the Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship, a UW-Madison Engineering Department Scholarship, the Wisconsin Public Service Scholarship and the UW-Madison Wisconsin Promise Award. He was also an active member of the Energy Hub and Engineers Without Borders.
Alex has long had an interest in renewable energy. Prior to completing his degree, he worked as a co-op engineer for Wisconsin Public Service Power Plant, with a focus on cost savings measures and maintenance improvement initiatives.
Prior to SunPeak, Alex worked for Epic Systems where he was a Technical Services Engineer and Lead Project Manager, supporting customers with software implementation. He did work with both hierarchical and relational databases.
