Chad is one of SunPeak’s co-founders and has served as President since the company’s inception. With a vast background in business management and engineering, Chad provides both overall leadership for the organization and also enriches the technical expertise of the team. He enjoys supporting business development as a presenter and subject matter expert, and also works closely with the leaders of the project development and construction teams to ensure SunPeak projects are handled with the highest levels of integrity, safety and quality.
Prior to SunPeak, Chad founded and managed Sologear, a consumer products manufacturing company, and Fluent Systems, an agricultural technology company. He is a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional and he holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering as well as an MBA in entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Chad is a prominent alumnus of UW-Madison and has been recognized with numerous awards including the Chancellor’s Entrepreneurship Award, the UW College of Engineering Early Career Achievement Award, and the UW Forward Under 40 Award. He sponsors the annual Sorenson Design Notebook Award and has taught upper level courses on innovation and entrepreneurship at the university. He also serves on the industrial advisory board for the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Weinert Applied Ventures in Entrepreneurship program.
