At SunPeak, our mission is to make solar accessible and seamless for businesses who want to generate their own power using renewable sources. We are focused on educating and delighting our customers and helping them realize decades of cost savings and sustainability benefits.
We do this by prioritizing quality in all we do: quality components, quality relationships, and employing the highest-quality people.
The SunPeak team is highly skilled and has installed over 450 MW of solar globally, including projects as distant as Germany, Japan and Canada. Our team of engineers, energy experts, electricians, project managers and construction professionals is ready to help your company achieve its energy goals.
As a Solar Technician on SunPeak's O&M team, Eric supports the long-term performance and reliability of SunPeak systems by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and commissioning work in the field.
Eric began his career in residential construction and green building, where he gained an in-depth understanding of building systems and performance. His interest in renewable energy started in college, and was later nurtured through participation in Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) events, eventually leading him to transition into the solar industry. With this background, Eric now brings a deep knowledge of buildings and proven expertise in PV system installation, maintenance, and diagnostics, a combination that makes him especially effective in troubleshooting and repairs.
Eric holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, a certificate in Renewable Energy from Madison College, is a registered electrician in that state of Wisconsin, and also holds a PV Associate credential from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
Outside of work, Eric enjoys backpacking and camping, international travel, woodworking, creating sculpture art, and spending quality time with his children. Eric also volunteers his time to strengthen sustainable networks in southern Wisconsin, contributing to organizations including Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA), Sustain Dane, MREA, RENEW Wisconsin, and Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.
