James works within SunPeak’s project execution team and is responsible for performing quality control, commissioning, and maintenance duties for installed systems. He regularly works with customers, especially in the management of site assessments, providing preventative maintenance training, assisting with operational questions, and performing warranty or maintenance work when needed.
James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his time there, it was an elective course on solar energy that spurred his interest in pursuing a career path in renewable energy where he could utilize his mechanical abilities.
James is a longtime outdoor enthusiast, and one of his primary passions is cycling. He commutes to the office by bicycle year-round, enjoys building and repairing bicycles, and participates in endurance cycling events. His other outdoor hobbies include running, climbing, and camping, and traveling to new and interesting places in pursuit of these activities.
