John provides leadership across SunPeak’s project execution and operational functions, with a focus on safely and efficiently delivering high-quality commercial solar projects. He works closely with the company’s project management, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance teams to strengthen processes, develop technical capabilities, manage risk, and support SunPeak’s continued growth.
Since joining SunPeak, John has held increasingly broad technical and operational leadership roles. He helped develop the company’s commissioning, quality assurance, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and operations and maintenance capabilities while also being involved in the construction and commissioning of commercial solar projects across the country. His technical background and field experience continue to inform his approach to project execution, quality, safety, and long-term system performance.
As Vice President, John works with SunPeak’s leadership team on company strategy, organizational development, resource planning, process improvement, and the systems needed to scale the organization while maintaining SunPeak’s standards for safety, quality, customer experience, and accountability.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and certificates in Renewable Energy, Wind Energy Technology, and Solar PV Technology from Madison College. He is a NABCEP Board Certified PV Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist and has completed additional training through Solar Energy International, HeatSpring, and the Midwest Renewable Energy Association.
