John ensures the interconnection, commissioning and reliable operation of SunPeak systems. He has a strong technical and analytical skillset and is capable of troubleshooting nearly any problem in the field. He also has strong competence in our site surveying process and supports project development with dimensional site assessment work using GPS-enabled Leica surveying technology.
Since joining the SunPeak team, John has led the development of the company’s Operation and Maintenance (O&M) functions, including QA/QC, system commissioning, field maintenance, and monitoring capabilities. John has been involved in the construction and commissioning of dozens of projects for SunPeak in both rooftop and ground mount systems.
John’s role at SunPeak entails customer education and service, engaging product vendors and procuring tools and components, and coordinating sub-contractors to ensure that SunPeak systems operate at maximum efficiency and longevity.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He continued his education with certificates in Renewable Energy, Wind Energy Technology, and Solar PV Technology from Madison College. John is a NABCEP board-certified PV Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist. He has also earned credentials from Solar Energy International, Heatspring and the Midwest Renewable Energy Association.
