February 22, 2018 - Madison, WI. As a leading commercial solar photovoltaic developer in the Midwest, SunPeak successfully installed four of the six largest rooftop solar systems in Wisconsin in 2017. Electricity generated from these solar systems is 40% lower on average than traditional utility costs, which significantly cuts costs for companies while reducing their carbon footprint.
SunPeak’s top four projects include: American Family Insurance (1.2 MW, Madison), Certco (726 kW, Madison), Badger Meter (700 kW, Milwaukee), and Central Storage & Warehouse (746 kW, Milwaukee). The largest of the four installments, American Family Insurance headquarters, now produces approximately 1.4 million kilowatt hours annually and from nearly 4,500 solar panels. This is enough power to energize about 130 homes annually.

Another of SunPeak’s most notable 2017 projects was Central Storage & Warehouse (CSW), a family-owned refrigerated and freezer warehouse, that partnered with SunPeak for the second time to cumulatively install more rooftop solar than any other WI-based business. CSW now utilized natural light to power much of their refrigeration needs.
Part of what made 2017 such a monumental year for SunPeak was the successful acquisition of grants to provide cost-effective opportunities for their customers. This is a trend SunPeak is continuing throughout 2018 to provide organizations all across the globe with renewable energy.
